Development Gypsy is not original. I wish I made it up, but read the term used in an article. If I can find the link, I’ll definitely post it.
A Development Gypsy is someone who roams the globe from one cause to another-poverty, women’s empowerment, human rights, drug trafficking, peace building, conflict resolution, education, HIV, environment, etc. The original article gives several scenarios that describe the fate of a development gypsy. One such involves a gang of the so called gypsies traveling together with backpacks decorated with patches from all over the place. I’m not really sure what my fate as a gypsy will be….
